Automation Specialist
Job Description:
- Update, verify tagging structure, update tags, verify function, test equipment and document system function. Currently using IDEC PLC on existing facilities. Will be working with a remote SCADA group from site to site to ensure the accuracy of all equipment on location. All locations currently operating will be evaluated, updated, and documented.
- Updating and editing ladder logic within the IDEC PLC control system
- Must be familiar with the Ignition platform.
- Possess the ability to perform maintenance and troubleshoot control systems to ensure proper function and documentation.
- Have basic comprehension of electrical one-lines, pneumatic schematics, loop drawings, and control narratives.
- Maintain records of control system configuration updates, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
- Annual Salary $55K – $80K DOQ.
- Full-Time position in Carlsbad New Mexico.
Experience & Skills
- 5 years of experience in an industrial automation environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Familiar with IDEC PLC and ability to program
- Familiarity with industrial control systems, such as PLCs, RTU, and HMIs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- A good driving record is required.
