Kinetic Energy Services is hiring a Full-Time Remote Electrical Drafter to support our growing Electrical Services team.
We’re looking for someone who can do more than operate CAD. The right candidate should understand electrical systems, recognize inconsistencies in drawings and field information, and help turn project data into clear, accurate, constructible electrical documents.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and revise electrical drawings in AutoCAD
- Produce single-line diagrams, schematics, power plans, equipment layouts, grounding plans, conduit and cable routing, panel schedules, and installation details
- Convert field markups, redlines, sketches, photographs, equipment nameplates, and existing documentation into accurate drawings
- Develop as-built and record drawings from verified field conditions
- Support electrical construction, facility upgrades, system assessments, and engineering documentation
- Incorporate review comments from project managers, engineers, field personnel, and clients
- Maintain drawing standards, revisions, file organization, and document control
- Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information and communicate those issues to the project team
- Support multiple projects while meeting established schedules and quality expectations
What we’re looking for:
- Professional electrical drafting or related CAD experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, panel schedules, and equipment documentation
- Working knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Familiarity with switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, breakers, disconnects, motors, VFDs, grounding systems, conduit, and cable tray
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment
Preferred qualifications:
- 3+ years of electrical drafting experience
- Experience supporting an electrical contractor, engineering firm, EPC contractor, or industrial facility
- Experience developing electrical single-line diagrams and as-built documentation
- Familiarity with NEC / NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu
- Revit or BIM experience is a plus
- Industrial, manufacturing, energy, or oil and gas experience is preferred
This is a full-time remote position with occasional travel possible for field verification, project coordination, or training.
At KES, we value people who take ownership of their work, communicate problems early, understand how drawings will actually be used in the field, and take pride in producing accurate, professional deliverables.
If you have a strong electrical drafting background and want to be part of a growing Electrical Services team, we’d like to hear from you.
